A dive shop is part retail store, rental store and part informational source. Shops sell and rent diving and swimming gear. They also have experts on staff. These experts prove time and again to be an ideal resource for information about local marine life and water conditions.

When in a foreign area it is important to visit a dive shop. Shop employees and owners are experts in the area of diving. They are also experts in water and marine life safety for their particular area.
